Jerry Nathaniel Bagby, 76, Grab, KY (1944-2020) Jerry Nathaniel Bagby of the Grab Community passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2020. He was 76 years old. The funeral services for Jerry Nathaniel Bagby will be conducted at 11amCT on Saturday, October 10, 2020, at the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church, with Bro. Ricky Arnett and Bro. Garnett Wayne Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, and after 9amCT on Saturday at the church until time of the funeral service. Jerry Nathaniel Bagby of the Grab Community of Green County, Kentucky, son of the late Bill Lindell (B.L.) Bagby and Dimple Blankenship Bagby, was born on Thursday, August 10, 1944 and departed this life on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at his home. He was 76 years, one month, and 29 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, and past Sunday School Teacher. He was a farmer, worked for the former Clark Casual Furniture Manufacturing for 32 years, and also worked for Cox Interior, Inc., He was also a honorary member of the Farm Bureau Board of Directors. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Gwynean Gentry Bagby of Grab, having united in marriage on May 16, 1965. Other survivors include a daughter: Annette Bagby of Bowling Green; two grandchildren: William Thomas DeSpain II and Bethanne DeSpain of Grab; one great-grandchild: Nathaniel (Nate) Bledsoe, of Grab; two sisters and a brother-in-law and a brother and sister-in-law: Carolyn Paxton, Dixie and Larry Bishop both of Greensburg, and Junior and Becky Bagby of Columbia; and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers: Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church Men's Sunday School Class, Timmy DeSpain, Thomas DeSpain, Adam Davis, Troy Bishop, Tom Davis, Troy Sluder Honorary Pallbearers: Bro. Mickey Pruitt, Rev. Raymond Atwood, Rev. Darrell Landis, Rev. Ivan Jones, Rev. Howard Moran, Gordon Milby, Danny Powell, David Givens, Carl Deaton. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church or Hosparus of Green River, which can be made at the funeral home.
