LWC Men's Basketball releases 2020-21 schedule

By Christopher Coombs

The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball schedule for the 2020-21 season was released by head coach Chris Starks on Thursday.

The Blue Raiders have a road-heavy schedule this season with 15 games on the road and 13 at home inside Biggers Sports Center. Last season, Lindsey Wilson posted a 10-5 record on its home court in Columbia while finishing the season with a 17-14 overall mark including a 6-10 record in the Mid-South Conference.

This season begins at 6pmCT on November 2, 2020, as the Blue Raiders welcome Simmons (KY) to Biggers Sports Center. It marks the first of four straight non-conference matchups. From there Lindsey Wilson takes on Central Baptist (AR) at home at 8pmCT on November 10, 2020.

The Blue Raiders then take part in their first of two classics on the season. LWC will take part in the Martin Methodist Classic in Pulaski, TN on Nov. 13-14 where they are set to face Philander Smith (AR) and Williams Baptist (AR).

Lindsey Wilson then kicks off Mid-South Conference play with games featuring two newcomers to the conference. The Blue Raiders travel to Henderson, TN to take on Freed Hardeman (TN) on Nov. 19 before returning home two days later to take on Bethel (TN) at 4pmCT.

The Blue Raiders then take part in their second classic of the season when they travel to Campbellsville, KY to play in the Lou Cunningham Classic on Nov. 27-28. LWC will face Dalton State (GA) and IU Southeast (IN).

Three more Mid-South conference games are on the slate in 2020 before LWC kicks off the new year on Jan. 2 with their first of two meetings with Campbellsville in the Battle of Highway 55. The contest will be at Biggers Sports Center with tipoff set for 4pmCT.

Lindsey Wilson faces a three-game road stretch from Jan. 4-9 when they face Cumberland (TN), Martin Methodist (TN), and Life (GA). From there it is back home where they face Pikeville (KY) on Jan. 14 and then take on Cumberlands (KY) on Jan. 16. The completion of these games marks the halfway point of the Blue Raiders conference schedule.

From there Lindsey Wilson then faces each conference member one more time from Jan. 21 - Feb. 20. Lindsey Wilson's regular-season finale comes against Martin Methodist on Feb. 20 as they close out regular-season action at Biggers Sports Center.

The Mid-South Conference Tournament runs from Feb. 26 through March 1 at Bowling Green High School in Bowling Green, KY, while the NAIA National Championship is from March 18-23 in Kansas City, Missouri.
