Essie Lee Scott Allen, 87, Taylor Co., KY native (1933-2020) Essie Lee Scott Allen of Louisville passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 in Louisville. She was 87 years old. The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Rev. Elbert Hadley. Burial will follow in Poplar Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation is requested from 7amET until 1pmET on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Essie Lee Scott Allen of Louisville, daughter of the late Emmett Scott and Mattie Warren Scott, was born January 20, 1933 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Poplar Grove United Methodist Church. Essie was a retired supervisor for Phillip Morris in Louisville. She loved her family very much and her dog, Jenna. She is survived by two sisters: Juanita Pike and Betty Skaggs and husband, David of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Essie was also preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers: Etha Skaggs, Dot Sutter, Mary Caulk, Emmett Brooks Scott Jr., James Scott and Mattie Long Expressions of sympathy are requested to be donations to Poplar Grove United Methodist Church, Poplar Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery or Taylor County SPCA and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
