Letter: Lots of Kentuckians in Texas

Doug writes:
For those of you who don't know Texas well, Paris, Texas is in far north central Texas, about half way between Texarkana and Gainesville on US 82 and just a few miles south of the Oklahoma border. It's a good spot with good people.

There are lots of Kentuckians in Texas. At least a third of the volunteers at the Alamo were from Kentucky. Another third or so were from Tennessee. It was the place to be.
