Charles K. Buescher, 76, World War II veteran Charles K. Buescher, 76, 3001 Russell Springs Road, Columbia, KY, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2004, at 8:45 p.m., at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room. Mr. Buescher was a Veteran of World War II and a lifetime member of the local VFW Post 6097. The funeral service will be Wednesday, September 29, 2004, at 1:00 p.m., at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Carlie Riggs officiating. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery with military honors by local VFW Post 6097. Mr. Buescher was a member of the Freedom Church of God and a retired State Highway Department worker. He was the son of the late Irvin and Lillian Knight Buescher. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Karnes Buescher, Columbia, KY, and by the following:
