Dorothy Akin, 81 Dorothy Akin, 81, 4441 Fairplay Road, Fairplay, passed away Friday, September 24, at 5:35 p.m., at Summit Manor Nursing Home. The funeral service will be Monday, September 27, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, with Bro. Randy Parnell officiating. She was the daughter of the late Hugh Thomas and Rutha Ellen Thomas Stotts and the widow of Ores Guy Akin, who preceded her in death on June 18, 1983. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ores Akin, Jr.; a son-in-law, Charles Grant on March 20, 1998; and by two grandchildren. She is survived by the following:
Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation is after 1:30, Sunday, September 26, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY.
