Waymon Burton, 82 Waymon Burton, 82, 211 West Frazier Avenue, Columbia, KY, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2004, at 1:20 a.m., at the T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY, after a long illness. The funeral service will be Saturday, August 28, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia, KY, with Bro. Junior Holmes and Bro. Donnie Smith officiating. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, Columbia, KY. Mr. Purdy was a member of the Purdy Separate Baptist Church, a US Army World War II veteran, and was an owner operator of a lime and gravel hauling service. He was the son of the late Sidney and Mary Lee Burton of Adair County, KY. He is survived by his wife, Mabel Smiley Burton, Columbia, KY, of Adair County, KY, and the following:
