James E. Long, 84, Burkesville, KY (1936-2020) Mr. James E. Long of Burkesville passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky, having attained the age of 84 years. The Funeral Service will be conducted at 2pmCT on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main St, Burkesville, KY. Burial will follow in the Poplar Grove Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends after 4pmCT on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, until the funeral hour on Wednesday at Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville. He was born on Tuesday, May 26, 1936 in Cumberland County, Kentucky, the son of Stanley and Sylvia (Davidson) Long. He was a Christian of the Church Of Christ Faith, a member of the Hickory Grove Church Of Christ, a local business owner for fifty seven years operating Longs Auto Sales. He is survived by his wife Willie Mae (Short) Long, of Burkesville, Kentucky, Children, Jimmy (& Linda) Long of Burkesville, Kentucky, Shelia Long Grider of Burkesville, Kentucky, Siblings, Helen (& Charles) Steele of Indianapolis, Indiana, Betty Hogan of Burkesville, Kentucky, Hazel Jones of Burkesville, Kentucky, Grandchildren, Lindsey (& Jeff) Huff, Jessica Grider, Wesley (& Whitney) Long, Great-Grandchildren, Braxton Long, Hudson Long, Henley Huff, Bella Grider, Sarah Faith Huff, Joseph Grider, Cousins, David Long, Kaylee Long, Sandra (Little Woman) Huddleston, Nephew Donnie (& Bernice) Jones.
