Opal Tucker Bryant, 81

Opal Tucker Bryant, 81, William Bryant Road, Columbia, KY, died Sunday, August 1, 2004, at 11 a.m., at the Medical Center of Bowling Green.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, August 3, 2004, at 1:00 p.m., at Grissom Funeral Home, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Carlis Riggs officiating.


She was the daughter of the late Luther and Lou Elia Bolen Tucker, the widow of Bill Bryant, a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and a homemaker.

Survivors include the following:
  • One son and daughter-in-law: Ronnie and Melissa Bryant, Columbia
  • One grandson: Brady Allen Bryant
  • Special cousins: Paull Woody and Mable Ruth Bryant, David and Linda Kinnett; and Brandon, Billie Joe, and Destiny Kinnett.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kaylan Leann Bryant, and by a special uncle and aunt, Lender and Lula Tucker Bryant, who raised her from the age of five until her marriage.

Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery.

Grissom Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m., Monday, August 2, 2004, at Grissom Funeral Home, Columbia, KY.
