Linda Young, 79, Burkesville, KY (1941-2020)

Linda Young of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at her home. She was 79 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 2pmCT on Saturday, August 1, 2020, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Burkesville Cemetery.

The family requests visitation on Saturday, August 01, 2020 from 10amCT until the service time at 2pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.


Linda was born on June 30, 1941 in Adair County, KY to the late Garon and Bertha Rogers Coffey. She was a member of Highland Chapel United Methodist Church, and a retired employee of Bob Evans Apparel. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Aubrey Clayton Young, and her son-in-law Steve Neathery.

Survivors Include:
  • One Daughter- Marsha Coppage and her husband Gary of Russell Springs, KY
  • One Son- Greg Young and his wife Arlene of Burkesville, KY
  • Four Grandchildren- Jonathan Neathery and friend Adriane Curry of Columbia, KY, Paige Parrigin and her husband Spencer of Burkesville, KY, and Nathan Neathery and his wife Ashley of Burkesville, KY, and Peyton Young of Burkesville, KY
  • Two Step Granchildren- Leonard Coppage and his wife Ashley, and Nick Coppage all of Russell Springs, KY
  • Two Great Grandchildren- Parker Neathery and Cooper Neathery both of Burkesville, KY
  • Two Step Great Grandchildren- Tyson Coppage and Blayton Coppage both of Russell Springs, KY
  • One Brother- Ronnie Coffey and his wife Elva Jo of Columbia, KY
  • Two Sisters- Brenda Keltner of Columbia, KY and Marilyn Henderson of Venice, Florida
  • A host of other relatives and friends
