It's currently 73F at the Adair County Mesonet station, and the high today should be near 81F. Periods of showers and thunderstorms will move through the area today and tonight. The greatest threat with these storms will be very heavy rainfall, which could produce localized flash flooding.

Friday will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 82F. There's a 70 percent chance of showers on Friday, and possibly an afternoon thunderstorm. Southwest wind around 6 mph.

Showers remain likely on Friday night, with the continued possibility of thunderstorms developing. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67F and light and variable wind.
