Genevieve Baker, 97 Genevieve Baker, 97, of the Portland community of Adair County, KY, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at the home of her daughter in Longview, Texas, after a brief illness. The funeral service is Saturday, July 17, 2004, at Grissom Funeral Home, Columbia, KY, with burial to follow in Tarter's Chapel Cemetery. She was the daugher of the late Charlie Frank and Myrtie Hunter Pyle. She was the widow of D.R. "Demmon" Baker. Mrs. Baker was a member of Pickett's Chapel United Methodist Church and a member of the Portlandettes Homemakers Club. She is survived by the following:
