Autic Vivan Loy, 84, Russell Co., KY (1935-2020)

Autic Vivan Loy departed this life on Saturday, July 25, 2020, at the U.K. Hospital in Lexington. He was 84 years old.

The funeral service for Autic Loy will be held at 3pmCT on Thursday, July 30, 2020, at the Fairview Separate Baptist Church, with Bro. Doug Baldwin and Bro. Barry Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in the Dixon Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10amCT until the funeral time at 3pmCT at the church.



Autic Vivan Loy was born on November 6, 1935 in Russell County to Vivan and Ruth (Warriner) Loy.

He was a self-employed livestock dealer and a partner in the Russell Co. Stockyards, Farmer Livestock Mkt. in Glasgow and Lake Cumberland Livestock Mkt. in Somerset.

He loved every aspect of the cattle industry and enjoyed promoting it. He also enjoyed being on the farm and checking his livestock every day.

Autic made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of Fairview Separate Baptist Church. He never left a church service without thanking God for all He had done for him.

He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Vivan Loy and Ruth (Warriner) Loy and a brother Jimmy Dale Loy.

Survivors include:
  • Wife - Irene Popplewell Loy, Jamestown
  • Son - Jeff (Vicki) Loy, Jamestown
  • Daughter - Nenna (Barry) Lawson, Russell Springs
  • Grandchildren - Weston Loy, Kaylyn Loy, Brannon Lawson, Nathan Lawson.
  • Brother - Arvis (Rosalie) Loy, Jamestown
  • Sisters - Helen Grant, Dunnville, and Jeanette (Jimmie) Bolin, Jamestown
  • Sister in law - Carol Loy, Jamestown
  • A host of nieces and nephews
Pallbearers: Weston Loy, Brannon Lawson, Nathan Lawson, Darrell Loy, Donnie Bolin, Jeron Loy.

Honorary pallbearers: James Brown, Tony Ferguson, Dean Hayes, Todd Bloyd, Craig Martin, Lawrence Purvis, Larry Story, Andy Wilson, Jack Bell.
