Allen Nell Moore, 91, business owner, craftsman

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 12, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home for Allen Moore of Columbia. He passed away at Summit Manor Nursing Home on Friday, July 9 after several weeks illness. He was an electrical contractor and founder of Allen Moore and Sons Electrical Contractors and of Moore's Woodcrafts and Art. He was preceded in death my his wife Evelyn Montgomery Moore on February 17, 1999.

Mr. Moore was the son of the late William Bay and Flora Lee Squires Moore of Adair County, Kentucky.He is survived by these children:
  • Joyce Smith and husband Benny of Columbia
  • Joe A. Moore and wife Marlene of Columbia
  • Linda Kelsay and husband Gordon of Glasgow
  • Nancy Miller of Columbia
  • Terry Moore and wife Teresa of Columbia
  • Kathy Williams and husband Mike of Glasgow
He is also survived by a brother, Lawrence Moore, of California; two sisters, Beatrice Jessee of Missouri and Lillian Krikston of Wisconsin; fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three great grandchildren and by one son-in-law.

The family requests visitation after 1 p.m. on Sunday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home prior to the service which is scheduled for Monday, July 12, 2004 at 11 a.m.

Bro. Randy Johnson will officiate. Interment will be in the Haven Hill Cemetery in Columbia.
