John A. (Johnny) Helm, 54, Greensburg, KY (1966-2020) John A. "Johnny" Helm of Greensburg passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020 in Louisville. He was 54 years old. A Walk Through Visitation will be held from 1pmET to 3pmET on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, followed by the graveside service at Jones Chapel Cemetery in Elk Horn, officiated by Shawn Murphy. John A. "Johnny" Helm of Greensburg, son of Walter Helm and Patricia Godsey Thompson, was born June 25, 1966 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 10:34 A.M., Thursday, July 23, 2020 in Louisville. John was an employee of Morgan Smith Industries in Columbia. He loved muscle cars and motorcycles and hobbies included camping and drawing. He was artistic with wood and enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his father, Walter Helm of Campbellsville; his mother and step-father, Patricia and George Thompson of Columbia; aunts and uncles: Doug and Gail Godsey, Laverne Russell and Helen Gribbins of Campbellsville, Larry and Marsha Godsey of Columbia, Wanda Benningfield and Kenny Bandy of Louisville and many other relatives and friends. John was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Troy Helm and Anna Tedder and his maternal grandparents: Ray Godsey and Bertha Godsey. Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to Gideon Bibles and may be made through Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
