Russell pedestrian, driver hospitalized following accident

Jeremy Hammond, 15, Jamestown, was admitted to the Russell County Hospital after being hit by a car on KY 92 on Friday, July 9, 2004.

Keri Little, 19, Jamestown, was traveling west on KY 92, when she approached two pedestrians walking on the shoulder of the road.

Little attempted to slow down, according to KSP Trooper Slinker, who worked the accident, and suddenly Hammond attempted to cross the road in front of the car. He was struck by the Little vehicle, a 1989 Chevy two-door.

Little was treated and released at the Russell County Hospital. Little was wearing a seatbelt.
