Myers brothers lose both parents on same day By Linda Waggener As if in the peaceful ending of a beautiful romance novel, Danny and Barry Myers' mother and father passed away on the same day, after nearly 62 years of marriage. Regina Myers spent the long day, Friday, June 18, 2004, making arrangements for the funeral of her husband Willard who passed away at 7:05 that morning. Her sons and their wives had worked closely beside her. They remember feeling that she was holding up well, at peace knowing that Willard was "home" in heaven. Then, without warning, the only prior complaint having been extreme tiredness, Regina Myers died at 6:45 in the evening, not quite twelve hours after Willard. One family member said they died as they had lived, completely devoted to each other. Regina and Willard Myers will have a joint funeral Sunday, June 20, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
