Joe L. Taylor Sr, 86, Green County, KY (1934-2020) Joe L. Taylor Sr. departed this life Friday, June 12, 2020 at the Mary and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, having attained the age of eighty-six years, three months and ten days. Funeral services will be conducted 1pmCT Tuesday June 16, 2020 at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Blake Jessie and Bro. Todd Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky with full military honors. A walk-through visitation is requested from 11am until the funeral hour Tuesday. The family has requested that visitors are encouraged to wear a mask. He was born March 2, 1934 in Seneca, South Carolina to the late Raymond G. Taylor and Sallie Carpenter Taylor. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church. He was a retired Air Force veteran and a Retired Unisys Computer Salesman. He was a member of the James L Pruitt VFW Post 5813, Greensburg, Kentucky. He was united in marriage to his wife Susie Taylor. He is preceded in death by one brother: Ray Taylor and two sisters Lila Bishop and Ruth Cochran. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and their spouses: Joe Taylor Jr. and Linda of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Gregory Lee Taylor and Linda of Lincoln, Nebraska; one daughter and her husband: Sally Diane Williams and Tim of Greensburg; one grandson: Ted Williams and his fiance Brittany Kaatz; Three sisters-in-law: Nancy Smith of Rogers, Arkansas, Doris McCaffrey of Overland Park, Kansas and Deb Johnson of Cherokee, Kansas; One special nephew: Brad McCaffrey of Overland, Kansas; several nieces and nephews. Plus, a host of other relatives and friends. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children or the Gideon Bible Fund and these can be made at the funeral home.
