Helen Faye Burton, 68, Columbia, KY (1951-2020) Helen Faye Kemp Burton of Columbia passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at her residence. She was 68 years old. Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT on Friday, June 12, 2020, at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with burial to follow in the Bearwallow Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Thursday, and will continue on Friday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. For the health and respect of the family, please follow all rules for social distancing and The Healthy at Work Guidelines. Born July 27, 1951, in Adair County she was the daughter of the late Claudy & Ernestene Janes Kemp. She married her husband Wendell Burton on June 26, 1970. Mrs. Burton attended the Bloomington Chapel Brethren in Christ Church and had worked at Oshkosh and was a homemaker. She loved cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, Wendell she is survived by four children Suzanna Streeval (Tony), Rodney Burton (Ashley), Cagney Burton (Kelly) and Kayla Hagedorn (Vince) all of Columbia; eight grandchildren Leslie, Sarah and Lily Streeval, Ethan, Audra and Asher Burton and Jake and Levi Hagedorn; three brothers Billy Kemp (Rita) of Jamestown, Daryl Kemp (Connie) and Don Kemp (Vicki) both of Columbia; a sister Patsy Kemp (special friend Charles Seaborne) of Columbia and several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter Baylee Fayth Hagedorn and a brother Willie Kemp. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the March of Dimes @ P.O.
