Clifford Taylor Page, 81, World War II veteran

Clifford Taylor Page, 81, a veteran of World War II, 4595 Pelham Road, Columbia, KY, died Monday, April 19, 2004, at 2:30 p.m. at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Somerset.

The funeral service will be Thursday, April 22, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., at Grissom Funeral Home, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Ivan Tucker and bro. Raymond Martin officiating.


Mr. Page was the son of the late George Banks and Cary Hancock Page. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Winfrey and Edgar Page.

He was a member of Can Valley Christian Church where he served on the board for several years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of VFW Post 6097 and a life member of DAV.

He is survived by his wife, Vonnie Wilson Page, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • A sister-in-law: Mattie Page, Indiana, four nephews and three nieces
  • A sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Madell and John Whitlock, Somerset
  • An aunt: Christine Page, Somerset
  • Special friends: Buck and Veverly Smith, Barry and Byron Smith, Clay and Whitney Turner, and Treavor Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Cane Valley Christian Church Build Fund, and may be left at the funeral home.

Visitation is after 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at Grissom Funeral Home.

Grissom Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
