Request for Information on Breeding Community

Roberta "Bert" Dooley is working on a book about the Breeding Community of Adair Co., KY. She has already collected a good amount of data and numerous photos, but would like to have more to "make this book on the Breeding Community a great resource on all that lived in the area."

Roberta writes:
"If you have any photos, information or writings of your experience of the community and want to share them please forward them to my email so I can add them to the book. Anyone who sends information that is used will be given credit in the book for their donation and will also receive a copy of the book at no charge.

Photos are requested with descriptions. In addition, if you have any photos that you cannot identify but know they are of a place or person connected with Adair Co., KY, please send and we will make a section in the book for Lost Information.

If you do not have a scanner and want to send me copies of the photos I will scan them and send the copies back to you.

I will send you a copy of your information to proof before going to the printer to make sure everything that you donated is okay with you. Any information on cemeteries or churches in the community will be helpful and appreciated as well. I want to add a collection of as many memories and families in this book as possible."

Roberta asks that submissions be typed in Microsoft Word format, plain text files, or Word Perfect and that photos be in jpg format and at the highest resolution possible.

Please include the following information with photos:

  • names
  • date
  • location
  • photographer
