Evie Pearl Parke, 90, Metcalfe County, KY (1930-2020) Evie Pearl Hayes Parke, 90, Summer Shade, passed away May 16, 2020 at T J Samson Community Hospital. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 21, 2020, 1pmCT at Missionary Mound Baptist Church with Brother Dale Copas officiating. Burial will follow in the Missionary Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 20, 2020, 3-8pmCT with limited capacity at McMurtrey Funeral Home and on Thursday, May 21, 2020 after 10am at the Missionary Mound Baptist Church, with limited capacity, until time of services at 1pm. Born May 16, 1930 in Edmonton, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Ova Lee Shaw Hayes and the wife of the late Otha Parke. She was a housewife, caregiver, helped farm, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and did a lot for her community. She was a member of Missionary Mound Baptist Church since 1947. Survivors include two sons, Jerry Donald (Leisa) Parke, and Tommy Parke both of Summer Shade; three grandchildren, Jeremy Lee (Megan Young) Parke, Jenny (Johnathan) Heckel, and Jessica (Tyler Bonnema) Parke; and seven great grandchildren, Camron and Aubrey Parke, Landon and Lucas Heckel, Brailey Brown, Briale and Callee Lane. Preceding her in death besides her husband and parents, were one daughter, Shirley Parke; two sisters, Maye Isenberg and Maude Hawkins; and five brothers, Richard, Buford, Thomas, Edward and Alphie Hayes.
