Velma Harrison, 82

The funeral service for Velma Harrison, 82, will be Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at 1:00 p.m., at Columbia First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Danny Walters and Rev. Robert McKenzie officiating.

Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 29, at Grissom Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Church.

Mrs. Harrison, 1008 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, died Saturday, March 27, 2004, at her home.

She was the daughter of the late Ulysses Grant and Nettie Jones Carmon.

She was the widow of Wesley Harrison, a retired nurse, and a member of Columbia First Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by the following:
  • Three sons and daughters-in-law: Rev. Ron and Lou Ella Harrison, Buffalo, KY; Jim and Chris Harrison, Cynthiana, KY; and Mikel and Luna Harrison, London, KY
  • Two daughters and sons-in-law: Marilyn and Gilbert May; and Ruth Ann and Judge Burton, Campbellsville
  • And 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Carmon.

Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery.
