Opal Ferguson Spires, 89

The funeral service for Opal Ferguson Spires, 89, was held Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at 1:00 p.m., at Grissom Funeral Home, with Bro. Raymond Martin officiating.

Mrs. Spires died Monday, March 22, 2004, at 4:30 a.m., at her home at 677 Millerfield Rd, Columbia, KY.

She was the daughter of the late J.T. and Nellie Goode Ferguson, the widow of Rondel Spires, and a member of Tabernacle Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Spires, in 1943, and by two brothers, Ores and Clellon Ferguson.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews and friends.

Buial was in Haven Hill Cemetery, Columbia, KY.

Casket bearers were Scotty Ferguson, Junior B. Spires, Doug Ferguson, Mike Ferguson, Mark Ferguson, and Joe Spires.
