Teacher's Thoughts spring semester 2020 - Angie Hixson By Angie Hixson, 1st Grade Teacher Adair County Primary Center Thoughts as a teacher through this quarantine - This semester has been the most trying time in 27 years as an educator. If I had known on March 13th that it was the last day I would see, hug, and listen to their sweet stories, I would have hugged a little tighter, and listened a little harder. I think back to that last day a lot. I ask myself, did I take time to smile at each child? Did I say good-bye to each one at the end of the day? This weighs on my heart. My hope is that each one of my kids know how much I love them and treasure our time together. While this was not an ideal time, I'm so thankful for the memories we made together, and the life lessons my kids have made with their families that can never be forgotten. (All our teachers and staff are invited to share thoughts about the 2020 spring semester - the time the Coronavirus changed school.) This story was posted on 2020-05-08 07:24:49
