William Porter Conover, Jr., 66 William Porter Conover, Jr., 66, Prospect, KY, died Friday, February 27, 2004, at his residence. The funeral service will be Monday, March 1, 2004, at 11:30 a.m., (EST) at Pearson's Funeral Home, 149 Breckenridge Lane in Louisville with visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A committal service will be at 2 p.m. (CST), Monday, March 1, 2004, at Columbia Cemetery with burial to follow. Grissom Funeral Home will be in charge of local arrangements. A native of Adair County, he was the son of the late William Porter Conover and Julia Rogers Conover, who survives, of Columbia, KY. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Joanna Harper Conover, Prospect; one son, William David Conover, Prospect; and his father-in-law, J.D. Harper, Coumbia, KY Mr. Conover was a retired superintendent for Ford Motor Company, an Air Force veteran, a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, an avid golfer, a member of Hunting Creek Country Club for 25 years, and a loving husband and father.
