Tinie Jones, 94

Tinie Jones, 94, formerly of Adair County, died Saturday, January 31, 2004, at 4:40 a.m., at NHC Health Care in Glasgow.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 4, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., at Grissom Funeral Home in Columbia, KY, with Rev. David Baker officiating.


She was a daughter of the late Buford and Lillie Pierce Estes and the widow of Lenis Jones. She was a member of Kellyville Community Church.

She is survived by the following:
  • Four sons: Marcus, Stanley, and Randall, all of Columbia, KY; and Harry Jones of Crestwood, KY
  • One daughter: Margaret Gale Hurt, Louisville.
  • Three sisters: Jessie Thompson, Ft. Wayne, IN; and Catherine Garmon and Delpha Sample, both of Anderson, IN
  • And 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, and three step great-great granchildren
Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery.

Visitation is after 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2004, at Grissom Funeral Home, Columbia, KY.
