Barbara Inez Henderson, 80, Campbellsville, KY (1939-2020)

Barbara Inez Henderson of Campbellsville passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020. She was 80 years old.

All services will be held privately, with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be left at parrottramsey.com.



Barbara Inez Henderson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Bob Hughes and Connie Elliott Hughes, was born June 20, 1939 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at1:18 P.M., Friday, April 17, 2020 in Campbellsville.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

In addition to being a mother and homemaker Barbara was a dairy farmer, employee of Fruit of the Loom and lastly an ESD employee at Taylor Regional hospital.

She united in marriage to William A. "Bill" Henderson December 15, 1957 and he preceded her in death May 30, 2009.

Barbara loved being with and cooking for her family and was known for bragging on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a people person who loved to laugh and travel on Toby tours and Cruises.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter: Jeff Henderson and wife, Pat of McKee, Stan Henderson and wife, Debbie of Hixson, Tennessee and Jennifer King and husband, Doug of Leitchfield; six grandchildren: Whitney Tobias and husband, Josh of Lexington, Ryan Henderson and wife, Laura of London, Erin McEarl and husband, Will and Kacey Edwards and husband, Justin of Hixson, Tennessee and Derek King and wife, Bethany and Katie Westerfield and husband, Brendan of Lexington; five great-grandchildren: Riley Tobias, Sabrina Tobias, Jack Henderson, Ellie Henderson, Blakely McEarl and an unborn great-granddaughter, Islay Edwards; four brothers and two sisters: Wayne Hughes and wife, Gladys of Casey County, Mildred Druin and husband, Barkley, and Doris Reynolds of Campbellsville, Larry Hughes and wife, Linda of Knifley, Garry Hughes and wife, Shirley of Elkhorn, and Roger Hughes and wife Donna of Campbellsville; two sisters-in-law, Margie Hughes and Shirley Henderson of Campbellsville and brother-in-law, Lloyd Henderson and wife, Charlotte of Elizabethtown; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Orville Hughes and three sisters: Margaret Hughes, Shirley Hughes and Jewell Hughes and a brother-in-law, David, Henderson.

"The best way to remember our mom would be to pay it forward and make the world around you a little brighter in her honor. Nothing would please her more." Jeff, Stan and Jennifer.

Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to Hosparus of Green River or Gideon Bibles and may be made through Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
