Nellie Morgan, 96, Cumberland County, KY (1924-2020) Nellie Morgan, age 96 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020. All services will be private. Nellie was born on March 14, 1924 in Cumberland County, Kentucky to the late Curt Melton and Sallie Smith Melton. She was a member of Burkesville First United Methodist Church. She had worked as a seamstress, a store clerk, and had worked with her husband on the family farm for many years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Allen Morgan, three brothers, Roy Melton, Willie Melton, and Sherman Melton and two sisters, Mary Moons and Eva Suratt. Survivors Include: Two Sons- Harlan Morgan and his wife Sandra and Truman Morgan and his wife Vanda Jo all of Burkesville, KY One Sister- Madge Elmore of Albany, KY Six Grandchildren - Steve Morgan, Todd Morgan, Amy Tarquine, Mike Morgan, T.J. Morgan, and Jim Morgan Twelve Great Grandchildren - Stephanie White, Katie Cox, Jake Morgan, Molly Morgan, J.P. Morgan, Lucas Tarquine, Joseph Tarquine, Isabella Morgan, Averey Morgan, Kaden Morgan, Abby Morgan, and Ruthie Morgan One Great Great Grandchild - Harley White and a host of other relatives and friends. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the Irish Bottom Cemetery Fund c/o David Orton, 170 Boss Brown Rd., Albany, KY 42602 or the charity of your choice.
