Well-known oilman, World War II Veteran, Lester Moss, 81 Lester Moss, 81, 1084 Lampton Lane, Columbia, KY, pased away Monday, January 26, 2004, at 5:03 p.m., at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY, after several weeks illness. He was a member of the Gradyville United Methodist Church and attended the Columbia Christian Church. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II. He was a partner in C.R. Moss & Sons Oil Drilling and participated in oil exploration and production throughout Adair County and South Central Kentucky from 1969 until the late 1980's. The funeral service is Thursday, January 29, 2003, at 10:00 a.m., at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Terry White officiating. He was the son of the late Clinton and Ivy Jessie Moss of Adair County, Kentucky. He is survived by the following:
Interment will be in Union Cemetery at Gradyville, KY. The family requests visitation afer 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2004, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Home, Columbia, KY.
