Delano Shipp, 78, Campbellsville, KY (1941-2020) Delano Shipp of Campbellsville passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020. He was 78 years old. Services will be held privately, and burial will follow in the Mt. Washington Baptist Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at parrottramsey.com. Delano Shipp of Campbellsville, son of the late Emmitt Shipp and Teresa Viola Caulk Shipp was born October 19, 1941 in Marion County, Kentucky. He died at 11:11 P.M., Sunday, April 12, 2020 in Campbellsville. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Washington Baptist Church. He retired after approximately thirty-nine years of service from the knitting room of Fruit of the Loom in both Campbellsville and Jamestown. Delano loved farming and talking to people; he never met a stranger. He united in marriage to Betty Sue Hash August 3, 1968. Besides his wife, Betty Sue Shipp of Campbellsville, he is survived by three sisters: Kathleen Perkins of Campbellsville, Judy Harvey and husband, Carey of Glasgow and Barbara Hunt of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; special friend, Jimmy Skaggs of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to Mt. Washington Baptist Church or the cemetery fund and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
