Columbia Post 15 troopers assist in big Clinton meth lab raid

Troopers from Columbia State Police Post assisted the Clinton County Sheriff in a Saturday, January 16, 2004, meth lab raid five miles west of Albany, KY, which resulted in the arrest of six persons.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., the Clinton County Sheriff was attempting to serve a subpoena on the Ill Will Road, when six people fled the residence carrying parts of a methamphetamine lab.

The sheriff called for assistance and units from the Columbia Post responded to the scene. All six were apprehended without incident.

Arrested, charged with conspiracy to manufacture meth, and lodged in the Clinton County Jail were the following:
  • Matthew R. Shelton, 18, Albany. Shelton
  • Maria D. Shelton, 18, Albany
  • Troy L. Pryor, 41, Byrdstown, TN.
  • Bobby G. Pierce, 38, Albany, KY
  • Jerry Shelly, 28, Albany, KY
  • Johnny Shelton, 41, Albany, KY
The meth lab was cleaned up by Special Investigations out of Bowling Green, KY.
