COVID-19 cases in Adair jumps to 33 after testing at NH

In a live meeting starting at 8:30amCT today, Good Friday, April 10, 2020 from the Courthouse Annex on the Public Square, officials gave the announcement on Facebook that over the past 48 hours the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Adair County jumped by 23 cases, from nine known mid-week, to a new total of 33.

Of the new cases, 22 are residents of the nursing home and one is an employee who works there from another county (not specified) but who will be counted in their county of residence. The official number of Adair County resident cases stands at 32 with one having died.

ACJE Gale Cowan, Health Department Director Shawn Crabtree, Local Emergency Management Mike Keltner could be seen in their video announcement. Also in the room, on audio, were Mayor Pam Hoots and members of media.
