School board will consider selection of architect for new elementary school

The Adair County School Board will consider the selection of an architect for the new elementary school at its regular meeting, tonight, January 15, 2004, at 7:00 p.m.

The board will also consider acquisition of property in an executive (closed) session.

Among other items to be considered in the public portion of the sessionare the following:
  • Review a draft budget
  • Approve BG-1 for the new school.
  • Discuss continuing membership in Council for Better Education.
  • Discuss KISTA loan to complete athletic dressing facility.
  • Approve revised BG-1 for sewer extension and building fit-up for athletic dressing facility.
  • Appoint a school board attorney for 2004.
  • Appoint Board chairperson and vice-chairperson for 2004.
  • Appoint secretary to the board for 2004.
  • Set board meeting locations, dates, and times for 2004.
Regular meeting opening agenda, the consent agenda, superintendent's remarks, and public comments are scheduled. The meeting will be held in the Adair County Board of Education Conference Room.
