Michael Earl Ellis, 56

Michael Earl Ellis, 56, 2513 Russell Springs Road, Columbia, KY, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2004, at 12:45 a.m., at Westlake Regional Hospital after an illness.

The funeral service will be Saturday, January 10, 2004, at 1:00 p.m., at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, with Rev. Steven Neel officiating.

He was the son of Orville and Bobbie McLean Ellis of Columbia, KY.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Janie McKinley Ellis, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Timmy Ellis and his wife, Kim, Columbia, KY; and Christopher Earl Ellis, also of Columbia, KY
  • One daughter: Sherri Botkin and her husband, Geoff, Campbellsville, KY
  • One sister: Donna Feese and her husband, Junior, Columbia, KY
  • Four grandchildren: Emily and Easton Ellis and Callie and Sarah Botkin
  • His father- and mother-in-law: Mr. and Mrs. Charles McKinley, Campbellsville, KY
  • Two brothers-in law: Mike McKinley and his wife Nancy, Rochester, Minnesota; and Jeff McKinley and his wife, Jane, Ringgold, GA
  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mr. Ellis was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Kentucky Chapter of the MS Society and may be left at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Visitation is after 4:00 p.m., Friday, January 9, 2004, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral home, Columbia, KY.
