Letter: tips for managing delivered meals Joyce Coomer writes: I know that the schools are delivering meals on a daily basis, and I'm sure other people are also delivering meals. If anyone is worried about contracting COVID-19 yet wishes to deliver meals, here are a few steps that can be utilized (in addition to the common sense ones of wearing a mask and gloves while preparing the food). Contact the person(s) to whom you are delivering meals and request that they come to the door when you arrive, but do not open the door. You can set the food on their doorstep then return to your vehicle. After you have returned to your vehicle (or are six feet away), the person receiving the food can then open the door and take the food inside. This limits person-to-person contact, keeps a barrier (the door) between the person receiving and the person delivering the food, and hopefully limits the spread of COVID-19. - Joyce This story was posted on 2020-04-01 14:42:10
