Sarah Elizabeth Roy, 95, Columbia, KY (1925-2020)

Sarah Elizabeth Roy of Columbia passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at the Barren County Nursing and Rehab Center in Glasgow, KY.

In accordance with Governor Beshear's recommendations and in compliance with the CDC, there will be a private graveside service on Saturday at the Freedom Cemetery. Online condolences at stottsphelpsmcquearyfh.com.



Born March 25, 1925, in Adair County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late James Weaver and Lillie Tucker Roy.

Ms. Roy was member of the Cane Valley Christian Church and attended the Columbia Baptist Church. She was a caregiver for many in the area and loved gardening and quilting.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews Lilburn Roy (Geneva), Billy Roy (Mary), Gerald Smiley (Linda), Eugene Smiley (Beth), Fern Roy, Linda Goodman (Clark) and Carolyn Richards (Joe).

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
