Obituaries: Ruby Rice, 91, Adair Co., KY

Ruby Rice, 91, 3650 Knifley Road, Columbia, Ky, passed away Friday, December 26, 2003, at 6:30 a.m., at her home.

The funeral service will be Sunday, December 28, 2003, at 1:00 p.m., at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral home in Columbia, KY, with Bro. Richie Curtis officiating.

She was the daughter of the late Berry and Rebecca Stayton Cox and the widow of Ray Rice, who preceded her in death January 14, 1982.

Mrs. Rice was a member of Plum Point Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son, James Rice and (Ann Cowan), Columbia, KY.
  • Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family requests visitation after 5:00 p.m., Saturday, December 27, 2003, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY.Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrrangments.
