Farmers Market on the Square (FM2) opens in one week From Donna Jones Count down is on to opening day for the Farmers Market on the Square (FM2) April 4, 2020. The Kentucky Proud market will be open at 8:00amCT at the corner of Merchant and Campbellsville Streets, Columbia, KY. The vendors appreciate concerns regarding the Farmers Market and things could change by the time opening day comes around. However, they will not set up for "social gathering," - merely as a Farmers Market set up to provide fresh fruits and vegetables that are deemed essential to the community. They are preparing for everything necessary in regards to the situation. Commissioner Quarles has given Farmers Markets the okay to open. He has given guidelines to follow to keep everyone safe during this time. - Vendors are setting up a safe distance from one another, Customers are asked to maintain a safe distance from one another, - Customers will be allowed to park at the edge of the parking lot and order from their cars, - Hand washing stations will be set up for both vendors and customers, - Vendors will wear gloves, - No tables and chairs will be set up, to discourage socializing or hanging out, - They ask if you have any symptoms stay home and if one of the vendors have symptoms, they will stay home. If we all work together and do our part, we can come through this healthy and well. They will continue to check with any new government requirements to keep everyone safe.
