Nina Mirlyn Cox, 66, Taylor County, KY

Nina Mirlyn Cox of Campbellsville passed from this life on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at her home.

Daughter of the late Fred Vernon and Cora (Farmer) Watson, she was 66 years, 3 months, and 15 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Feathersburg Church of God.

Due to efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19 and recent requirements implemented by the Office of Governor Andy Beshear and the Kentucky Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, all funeral services will be performed privately.

She was a caregiver and waitress, and a homemaker to Gerald Cox, who preceded her in death. She loved to cook for her family (and was especially good at making desserts), raise flowers, and watch birds in her feeders - unless Wheel of Fortune was on.

She leaves to mourn her passing:

Two daughters: Shannon Buckles and husband Greg of Greensburg, and Sherry Mullins and husband Matt of Mt. Vernon,

Two siblings: Regina Parker and husband Johnny Ray, and Gerald Ann Brown, all of Campbellsville,

Nine grandchildren: Courtney Cox, Scott Cox, Ryan Cox, Destiny Cox, Caden Buckles, Shelby Kelsay, Zain Mullins, Dravin Mullins, and Kenzlee Mullins,

Five great-grandchildren: Bryleigh Wheet, Levi Brady, Lilyana Hamilton, Lia Cox, and Jaxstyn Greer,

And a host of other family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by nineteen siblings: Neda Kaye, Anna, Magalene, Mary, Dorothy, Frances, Vernon, Archie, Cozetta, Willie, Buster, Johnny, Jewell Dean, Freddy, and four infants.

Mrs. Cox will be laid to rest in the Jones Chapel Cemetery beside her husband.

L.R. Petty Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
