Allen (Bubba) Perkins, 91, Campbellville, KY (1928-2020) Allen "Bubba" Perkins of Campbellsville passed away on Friday, March 20, 2020. He was 91 years old. At the request of the Governor, services will be private. Burial will follow in the Spurlington United Methodist Church Cemetery. Allen "Bubba" Perkins of Campbellsville, son of the late Goble Perkins and Iva Milby Perkins, was born December 22, 1928 in Green County, Kentucky. He died Friday, March 20, 2020 in Louisville. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Spurlington United Methodist Church. He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Allen was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and a farmer. He enjoyed playing Rook and hunting rabbits. He united in marriage to Mary Ola Brockman June 6, 1952. Besides his wife, Mary Ola Perkins of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and two daughters: Steve Perkins and wife, Beverly of Bradfordsville, Nancy Handy and husband, Ritchie and Bonnie Gribbins and husband, Doug of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: DeWayne Gribbins of West Virginia, Amanda Gribbins, and Kyle Gribbins of Bradfordsville; seven great-grandchildren: three great-great-grandchildren; four sisters: Sarah Allen of Indiana, Louise Murphy and Betty Dotson of Hodgenville, and Zelda Perkins of Frankfort; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Allen was also preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters: James Perkins, Robert Perkins, Donald Perkins, Billy Perkins, William Thomas Perkins, Everette Perkins, Anna Mary Brockman, Barbara Allen and Mary Catherine Underwood. Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to Gideon Bibles. Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences at parrottramsey.com.
