Homemakers hold holiday event

The Adair County Extension Homemakers annual bazaar was held Saturday, November 22, and offered food and crafts and great holiday spirit.

Nine clubs from around Adair County set up tables filled with cakes, candies, jams and jellies, relishes and pickles, cookies, candles and craft items which will make homes more festive and cheerful this Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The clubs included: Town and Country Homemakers, Club 92, Mailbox Members, Daylight Club, Happy Homemakers, Bliss, Sano Stars, Green River and Tabernacle. Door prizes were awarded through the day as people lunched and shopped.

The Extension office is located at 409 Fairground Street in Columbia. For more information on the services and events, call 384-2317.

This Homemaker's News and Kelly Bonifer's regular Healthy Lifestyle advice is sponsored by Westlake Regional Hospital, an acute-care, JCAHO-accredited hospital serving Adair County since 1980.
