Family and friends gather to celebrate 45th anniversary

The 45th wedding anniversary of Dick and Linda Fitzpatrick of Columbia was celebrated with family, church family and friends Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church.

The couple renewed their vows spoken 45 years ago on that date in the church at Western Kentucky University.

Songs were led by Dick - "I Have Loved You" and "Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace". Prayer, directing the sharing of vows and giving of rings, and blessing was by Fr. Joseph. Their sons Shawn and Eric escorted Linda down the aisle. Reading from The Book of Ruth by daughter-in-law Ashley. Reading from the First Letter of Paul in the Corinthians was by daughter-in-law Jennifer.

The service was followed by a meal, toasts/roasts and cutting of the wedding cake.

Good friends celebrate with Fitzpatricks

Bonnie Phelps stood and shared words of congratulations to the Fitzpatricks at their 45th anniversary celebration as did many close friends and family members. Bonnie and Linda have been getting to know each other through the years as they taught together at the Western Kentucky University Glasgow Campus.
