12-year-old accidentally shoots 10-year-old brother

The Kentucky State Police logged a shooting on Tuesday, November 11 that has developed into a tragic news story this week. 10-year-old Aaron Judd of the Pierce community (near the Green County/Metcalfe County lines) was accidentally shot by his 12-year-old brother.

Three children, the two brothers and another youth, were at home alone early that morning waiting for the school bus to arrive. The 12-year-old reportedly got a shotgun out and accidentally shot 10-year-old Aaron in the upper chest. He was pronounced dead by the Green County Coroner after being transported to the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital.

KSP Detective Joel Woods is investigating the case. No charges have been filed.
