Five Blue Raiders notch double-figures over Georgetown By Brady Budke Bowling Green, KY - All the members of the Lindsey Wilson women's basketball starting-five scored in double-figures and accounted for 81 total points in a 96-70 win over Georgetown (KY) in the Mid-South Conference quarterfinals at the Bowling Green High School Arena. J'Nayah Hall carried the torch tonight scoring the ball, putting home 19 points and grabbing nine rebounds on 8-of-15 shooting from the field. The duo of Reagan Turner & DeAsia Outlaw corralled 18 points apiece, while the pair of Jynea Harris & Maleigha Oldham rounded out the starters scoring at 13 points respectively. An ugly third quarter would prove to plague Georgetown tonight, as the Tigers shot just 35.3 percent from the floor for the game. Hailey Ison led the Tigers with 17 points and 10 made free throws. The game became in favor of the Blue Raiders early, with LWC jumping out to a 16-9 lead in the first quarter after an Outlaw bucket off a Rose Mary Jackson assist. Lindsey Wilson successfully held off any Georgetown scoring runs and held a breathable eight point lead heading into the next quarter of action. Not to be denied by the No. 2-seeded team, the Tigers clawed back into the ballgame after trailing by as much as 14 in the second quarter. Kennedy Flynn drilled three straight three-pointers in a 14-0 scoring run that put things at a 38 all with just under two minutes remaining until the halftime buzzer. Despite the cold stretch of play, Lindsey Wilson was able to hold on to a 42-41 lead going into the locker room. Quarter number three proved to be the difference maker in the contest that favored the Blue Raiders. Over a long span of play, LWC executed a staggering 24-3 run that was orchestrated by countless missed field goals and turnovers by Georgetown which led to buckets on the other end. The big third quarter saw the Blue Raiders tally 38 points while easily clamping on to the lead which escalated into the 96-70 victory. The win tonight puts Lindsey Wilson up against the winner of No. 3-seeded Shawnee State (Ohio) and No. 6-seeded Cumberlands (Ky.) in the semifinals on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. CT.
