Homer Ray Goodin, 64

Homer Ray Goodin, 64, 150 Country Club Road, Columbia, KY, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2003, at 8:20 a.m., at Westlake Regional Hospital.

The funeral service is Tuesday, November 11, 2003, at 10:00 a.m., at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, with Bro. Clifton Bennett officiating.


Mr. Goodin was a member of Beulah Chapel Brethren in Christ Church, where he had taught the Adult Sunday School Class. He was serving as a Deacon at the time of his death.

He was the former owner of M & W Milling Company in Columbia, a firm he owned from October 1979 to February 2003. He retired following the sale of the business.

He was a member of Hood Masonic Lodge and a member of the Adair Gideon Camp.

He was the son of the late Paul Goodin and Bonnie Barrett Goodin of Columbia, KY, who survives.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha Ann Feese Goodin, Columbia, KY.

He is further survived by the following:
  • One daughter, Kimberly Ann Goodin, Columbia, KY.
  • One son, Eric Ray Goodin, Columbia, KY
  • One sister, Carol Parker and her husband, Mitch, Olmstead, KY
  • One brother, Larry Goodin, and his wife Patricia, Columbia, KY
  • Two grandchildren, Lauren Michelle goodin, and Ashley Nicole Goodin
  • Brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law Jack and Margie Collins, W.M. Feese, Jr. and Donna, Paul and Eileen Hamilton, and Mark and Barbara Frazier
  • Several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
Interment will be in Beulah Chapel Cemetery.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society or the Gideons Internation, in lieu of flowers.

Visitation is after 2:30 p.m., Monday, November 10, 2003, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, Columbia, KY.
