Margaret Ann McKinley, 82

Margaret Ann McKinley, 82, formerly of Columbia, KY, died Saturday, November 8, 2003, at the Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Ozark, MO.

The funeral service will be Thursday, November 13, 2003, at 10:00 a.m., at Grissom Funeral Home, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Dwight Forderhase and Rev. Richard Guerrant officiating.


She was the daughter of the late Herschel and Claudia Bandy Kirk. She was married to Lucian Walker McKinley, who peceded her in death in 1962.

Mrs. McKinley devoted her life to teaching children both in the public school system and in Sunday School. She taught in the public school system for 35 years, retiring in 1976. She was a faithful member of the Columbia-Union Presbyterian Church where she taught young children in Sunday School.

She also served as the President of the Presbyterian Women's Circle and was honored by her church by being ordained as an Elder on August 1, 1976.

She loved to sing and and was a member of the Community Choir. She was also a member of the local Women's Club.

She was preceded in death by her older sister, Jane Kirk Crume, and is survived by a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Irvington, KY.

Memorials are suggested to Columbia-Union Presbyterian Church.

Visitiation is after 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 12, at Grissom Funeral Home in Columbia, KY.
