Republicans sweep Adair

Republicans sweep Adair General Election; GOP wins every precinct in every race

Local voters gave statewide GOP winners Ernie Fletcher, former University of Kentucky Wildcat star Richie Farmer, and Trey Greyson overwhelming majorities in their races for Governor, Commissioner of Agriculture, and Secretary of State races.

But in three other races, Adair County gave majorities to statewide losers. Democrate Greg Stumbo lost Adair County to Jack Wood, the Republican candidate for Attorney General; Democrat Crit Luallen beat Republican Linda Greenwell for Auditor of Public Accounts; and Democrat Jonathan Miller beat Republican Adam Koenig statewide in the race for State Treasurer.



The Adair County totals are as follows:

Ben Chandler (D), 1,574
Ernie Fletcher (R), 3,085

SECRETARY OF STATE
Trey Grayson (R) 2,770
Russ Maple (D) 1,467

ATTORNEY GENERAL
Gatewood Galbreath (I) 200
Greg Stumbo (D) 1,593
Jack Wood (R) 2,495

AUDITOR
Linda Greenwell (R) 2,760
Crit Luallen (D) 1,474

STATE TREASURER
Adam Koenig (R) 2,550
Jonathan Miller (D) 1,628

COMMISSIONER OF AGRICULTURE
Richie Farmer (R) 3,155
Alice Baesler (D) 1,304
