Hardin Planetarium presents When the Universe Was Young Hardin Planetarium presents When the Universe Was Young The next public show at WKU's Hardin Planetarium, 1906 College Heights Blvd, Bowling Green, KY, will be "When the Universe Was Young," playing from February 23, 2020 through April 9, 2020. Hardin Planetarium provides free shows to the public Tuesday and Thursday at 7pmCT and Sunday at 2pmCT; no tickets, no reservations. "When the Universe Was Young" explores how we understand what the universe was like when it was young. As the fuller description reads, We are the first generation of humans to know what our universe was like at the very beginning. Less than 100 years ago people thought that our galaxy was all there was and that it had never, ever changed. We have since come to realize, whether we like it or not, that our galaxy is just one of at least hundreds of billions of galaxies in a universe that has been changing constantly since it began almost 14 billion years ago. The show is suitable for all ages, and runs for 60 minutes, with time for questions at the end. The show will begin on time, and no late entrance will be permitted. Show times/dates:
