Vernie Alice Brewer English, 81, Greensburg, KY (1938-2020) Vernie Alice Brewer English of Greensburg passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020. She was 81 years old. The funeral services for Vernie Alice Brewer English will be conducted at 10amCT on Wednesday, February, 5, 2020, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Dale Curry officiating. Burial will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Tuesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT on Wednesday until the time of the funeral service. Vernie Alice Brewer English of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Leonard Brewer and Eva Atwell Brewer, was born on Monday, March 21, 1938 in Larue County, Kentucky and departed this life on Friday, January 31, 2020 at her home. She was 81 years, 10 months, and 10 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. She was also retired from General Electric. She united in marriage to Robert Floyd "Bobby" English on July 7, 1956 who preceded her in death on June 7, 2009. Survivors include a daughter: Judy Gail English of Greensburg; six sisters and two brothers: Lela Ash, Edna Pring both of Louisville, Judy Scherer of Indiana, Sue Nelson, Nellie Horton both of Florida, Fay Spears of Leitchfield, Floyd Brewer, and Monroe Brewer both of Louisville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. English was also preceded in death by an infant daughter: Linda Joyce English in 1958. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
